George Iera is a lighting designer, technical director and engineer working across European stages with some of the most distinctive voices in contemporary performance.
His practice moves fluidly between the conceptual and the mechanical — from drafting cues and operating large-scale international tours to designing and building custom fixtures in the workshop. Recent collaborations include touring productions with Christos Papadopoulos and Euripides Laskaridis, and assistant lighting design for Dimitris Papaioannou's This That Keeps On at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
He has built special lighting constructions for Onassis Stegi, the Athens Epidaurus Festival, among others. His earlier work as resident technician at RabbitHole Art & Performance Space shaped a hands-on, problem-solving approach that still defines the studio today.
